Legend Of The Ranch Story: The rough and tumbled landscape of North Texas between Waco and the Red River is not unfamiliar territory to the Mountain Lion.  From time to time, their crossing of The Triple R Ranch is evidenced by prints visible after a hard rain.  The discovery of these sizable prints motivated the wine club to name their Meritage after this spirited beast.  In order to be given the classification of Meritage (a combination of the words Merit and Heritage), this wine must adhere to very strict guidelines of blending specific varieties in the Bordeaux tradition.  The extra-tenacious classification of wine has as much tenacity as these mountain lions brought to the Ranch!
