The Prisoner Wine Company takes an unconventional approach to winemaking by working with impassioned growers to source varietals from vineyards and appellations across California. Alongside a family of growers, The Prisoner winemaking team pushes boundaries as they craft a selection of unexpected, yet artful wines. This red blend is aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels, 30% new. This is the blend that started it all and challenged how wine should be made. It features enticing aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, and vanilla linger harmoniously, for a smooth and luscious finish. Varietal: zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, petite sirah, syrah, charbono.
