2016 Arabian Sangiovese
We are off to the races with The Triple “R” Ranch & Winery Arabian Sangiovese! The label features Prospector and our winemaker’s daughter Becky moments before she learned just how rambunctious Arabians can really be! This divinely aged red is the Texas version of an Italian Chianti and marries beautifully with sweet BBQ sauced ribs and brisket. This light-bodied, well developed Sangiovese holds deep flavors of fig, cranberry, raspberry with minerality and pleasant acidity stretching out to a smooth finish.

Legend Of The Ranch Story: At the time of purchase of The Triple R Ranch, the Ross family found themselves the owners of two beautifully spirited Arabian horses. They were magnificent to watch; playful and at times a little rambunctious. Prospector, was the first horse raised at the Triple “R” Ranch & Winery, now home to several rescue horses. The Arabian Sangiovese features Prospector with the Ross’ daughter Becky and a friend moments before the young girls learned just how rambunctious Arabians can really be! Ever since their adventure with Prospector, Becky has steered clear of riding at the ranch but enjoys loving on their rescue horses!
